Introduction To Excavator Crushing Hammers

Crushing hammer is one of the frequently used accessory parts of excavator, which is commonly used in mountain opening, crushing road surface, house demolition, bridge demolition, mine crushing stone and other working condition operations. It has good crushing effect, wide range of application, easy operation, and is one of the indispensable and important tools for modern construction projects. The following is the relevant introduction about the crushing hammer.

1. Crushing Hammer Structure

Crushing hammer is mainly composed of steel hammer head, oil cylinder, oil pump, valve, sealing elements and so on. Among them, the steel hammer head is the core component of the crushing hammer, which is hard and able to withstand high-frequency striking and crushing, and is usually equipped with blades around the hammer head, which can enhance the crushing effect.

2. Application Scenarios of Crushing Hammer

a. Construction and demolition: the hammer can easily break reinforced concrete and stone, suitable for all sizes of construction and demolition operations. b. Mining industry: the hammer can be used in the mining industry. c. Mining industry: the hammer can be used in the mining industry.

b. Mining industry: Crushing hammers can be used for mining rock crushing and stone processing, improve the efficiency of quarrying. 3.

c. Railway construction: Crushing hammers can be used in the demolition and construction of railway roadbed, can easily break the stone and concrete in the roadbed.

3. Advantages of Crushing Hammer

a. High-efficiency crushing: high frequency of crushing hammer blow, crushing speed, can complete a large number of crushing operations in a short period of time.

b. Wide range of application: the crushing hammer can be used in a variety of construction, mining, railway and other fields of crushing operations, has great applicability.

c. Easy operation: the crushing hammer can be installed on various engineering machinery for operation, simple and convenient operation.

4. How To Choose a Crushing Hammer ?

According to the working pressure of the crushing hammer, working flow, etc., matching the hydraulic performance of the excavator, while the brazing rod diameter and striking frequency can be selected according to the conditions of the working conditions. Like crushing thicker road surface or harder materials can choose a larger diameter of the rod, the strike frequency of some of the crushing hammer, its striking force will be larger.

5. Installation Of The Crusher Hammer

Most excavators with appropriate mounting ports reserved and configured with quick-change fittings. See picture

6. The Reason For The Reduced Efficiency Of The Crushing Hammer

In the case of normal use, the crushing hammer about three years of work, there will be a reduction in working efficiency phenomenon. This is due to wear and tear of the piston and the outer surface of the cylinder in the work, so that the original clearance increases, the high pressure oil leakage increases, the pressure decreases, resulting in a decrease in the impact energy of the crushing hammer, the work efficiency decreases.

In individual cases, due to improper use by the operator, will also accelerate the wear of parts.

7. How to Repair a Crushing Hammer

Replace a set of piston and oil seal, but just a new piston is not a complete solution to all the problems. Because the cylinder block has been worn, the inner diameter size becomes bigger, the cylinder block inner diameter unroundness and taper increase, the clearance between the cylinder block and the new piston has exceeded the design clearance, so the working efficiency of the crushing hammer still can not be fully restored. Not only that, but also because the new piston and the worn out cylinder block work together, because the cylinder block has been worn out, the roughness of the outer surface increases, which will make the new piston wear faster.

If the mid-cylinder block assembly is replaced, of course, it is the best result. But the cylinder block of a crushing hammer is one of the most expensive of all parts, and replacing a new mid-cylinder block assembly costs a lot of money, while the cost of repairing a block is relatively low. The repaired cylinder will also have to be fitted with a new piston to fully restore the design clearance, thus restoring the efficiency of the hammer.
