How To Maintenance The Motor Grader ?

As a common engineering machinery and equipment, motor grader is widely used in road construction and earthwork. Correct maintenance is essential for the normal operation and prolonged service life of the motor grader. In this article, we will explain the maintenance techniques of motor grader. The regular maintenance of the motor grader involves many aspects such as oil, filter, air filter, hydraulic system, bearings, chain, hydraulic pump and radiator. Only regular maintenance can prolong the service life of the motor grader and improve the working efficiency.

1. Engine Maintenance

a. Oil and filter change: After the motor grader has been used for a period of time, the oil will gradually become dirty, affecting the normal operation of the engine. Therefore, it is recommended to change the oil and filter every 200 hours or so.

b. Replace the air filter: the motor grader will inhale a lot of dust, stones and other debris during operation, which will reduce the air flow and air quality. Therefore, replace the air filter every 200 hours or so.

c. Cleaning the radiator: the radiator is the main channel for the engine to emit heat, once it is blocked, it will lead to engine overheating. Therefore, it is necessary to clean the radiator every 200 hours or so.

2. Chassis Maintenance

a. Check the wear and tear of the vibrating wheel, rear axle, brakes and other parts frequently, and replace or adjust them in time.

b. Replace chain and sprocket lubricants and clean them to ensure chain flexibility and lubrication.

c. Regularly check the wear degree of oil seals, bearings and other parts of steering device and driving device, and carry out maintenance and replacement in time.

3. Hydraulic System Maintenance

a. Change hydraulic oil and oil filter regularly to prevent contamination and water accumulation.

b. Regularly check the sealing and working condition of the hydraulic system, and timely replace damaged seals as well as maintain the normal operation of the system.

4. Circuit System Maintenance

a. Clean the connectors of the circuit system regularly to prevent unstable voltage caused by oxidation.

b. Regularly check the insulation of the power cord to prevent wire deterioration and short circuit.
