To address the practical demands of highway paving, the XCMG XP203 utilizes a pneumatic tire compaction system. Equipped with an 11.00-20-16PR tire configuration featuring 4 front and 5 rear tires with a 45 mm overlap, the machine delivers a kneading action that effectively seals the surface without damaging the aggregate materials. To support clear and precise operation by rental fleet operators, the cabin is equipped with dual steering wheels and dual seats, reducing visual blind spots when compacting road edges. Additionally, the automotive-grade transmission featuring a synchronizer ensures smooth shifting and agile maneuvering on active construction sites.  

 

 

Regarding stability under the hot climate, the roller is powered by a YC4A125Z water-cooled, turbocharged engine delivering 86 kW of power at 1800 r/min, ensuring consistent performance during steady tasks. To prevent hot asphalt from adhering to the tires and causing operational delays, the machine is fitted with a sprinkler water pump that provides continuous anti-adhesion spraying. In addition, to facilitate routine maintenance for rental companies, the rear-hinged hood design makes inspecting the water pump, battery, and drive chain quick and easy.
