Three months ago, a client from Peru contacted us through our official website, seeking to purchase several SHACMAN 8x4 Dump Trucks for use in copper mining operations within a mountainous region. The client is mining copper in a high-altitude area of the Andes Mountains, where the altitude exceeds 4,000 meters, the air is thin, and the mountain roads are quite dangerous. The rarefied atmosphere and steep terrain pose a severe challenge to the trucks' powertrain systems. Furthermore, the trucks' routes consist entirely of unpaved roads, strewn with loose gravel and sandy soil. Given the region's abundant mineral deposits and high production volume, the trucks are required to operate with exceptional frequency. A recurring safety concern the trucks must frequently contend with involves descending steep slopes continuously while hauling heavy loads of massive rocks weighing tens of tons.

 

 

The SHACMAN X5000 8x4 Dump Truck maintains exceptional performance even under extreme operating conditions, while delivering a highly comfortable driving experience and superior safety. This dump truck is powered by a Xi'an Cummins M13 engine; leveraging advanced, high-efficiency turbocharging technology, it minimizes power loss even in the thin air of high-altitude regions. Coupled with its robust 520 HP output, the vehicle handles heavy loads and steep inclines with ease. To ensure driving safety on steep mountain roads such as long downhill slopes, the customer opted for disc brakes on the front axle for faster heat dissipation; in addition, the truck comes standard with an FHB400 hydraulic retarder, making its safety performance beyond doubt.

 

 

The upper structure uses a NM450 top-grade wear-resistant steel cargo box with a 12mm bottom plate and 10mm side plates, which is not afraid of the impact of large pieces of ore. Combined with the original Hyva 179 front top lifting cylinder, unloading is extremely smooth. Furthermore, it uses large 12R24 tires and employs a scientifically formulated combination of mixed tread pattern on the front tires and lateral mineral tread pattern on the rear tires, providing excellent grip. Combined with the standard 360-degree panoramic imaging and intelligent driving systems, these features comprehensively enhance both the operational efficiency and safety of the entire fleet.
